We started started Flocket a year ago with a mission to create a sheep app that’s simple, intuitive and allow us to keep track of the records on our farm. We liked it so much we decided that other sheep farmers should benefit so we made it free to the wider sheep farming community and we called it flocket. Since its launch last year we have continued to add new features and we’ve been fortunate and grateful to experience continual growth as sheep farmers see the value in what we have created.
What started out as a simple concept has surpassed our expectations however the name Flocket was already being used by different companies on the web our new customers were finding it confusing so we took the decision to rebrand Flocket.
When deciding on a new name we did not have to look far, our old sheepdog Jess a long term meber of our crew on the farm was our inspiration as she dispalyed the values we wanted to have as a company, loyal, hardworking and fun. Sheepdog was born and we have spent the past several months working on our branding to make sure it represents our values.
